Clearing Limiting/Blocking Beliefs (Psycho-energetic Reversals

Psycho-energetic reversals are negative/sabotaging/blocking beliefs about ourselves, others, God/Universe and Life that result from some form of trauma to the self. They are the nucleus around which the memories and patterns of our lives revolve. When we reverse them (to the direction that supports our well-being) we free up energy to support us and help us thrive, no matter what. These basic statements can be used whether you are reversing an issue, a fear (I sometimes use the word, “fear-belief”) or a pattern.
For all beliefs needing reversed, you can tap the G/C points (above and below your lips) or holding both palms on your upper heart center, tapping alternately just under one collarbone, then the other). Repeat 3 times the opposite of the positive statement listed below.
It’s helpful to take a deep, waterfall breath, then repeat the positive statement out loud. Then retest (if you know how to muscle test).
First identify the belief in as simple and direct language as you can, and use an “I am” sentence structure if you can. For example: “I am not good enough,” is more powerful and goes deeper into your belief structure than “I can’t do anything right.” The first focuses on beliefs regarding our identity, the second on behaviors. Behavioral beliefs are more surface levels of beliefs.
These are the sentence stems for limiting/blocking beliefs:

It’s possible to let go of this… Even though it’s not possible to let go of this…

I can let go of this…even though it’s woven/ Even though I can’t let go of this…because it's woven/
I’ve woven it throughout my being. I’ve woven it throughout my being…

The basic process:
-
Choose the negative belief your want to reverse (see below or other pages). Ex: "I am unloved."
-
State a positive belief regarding your reversed belief. Ex: “I want to let go of being unloved.” Your subconscious will react more when it hears the words spoken aloud.
-
If you know how to muscle test, you would then muscle test this statement, if it is strong, it is energetically supporting you. If you do not know muscle testing, go through the reversal process with each statement in the protocol.
-
Pair the negative version of the affirming statement (the one on the right above) with an ending and affirming belief. The standard phrase is "I deeply and completely love and accept myself." Ex: "Even though I don't want to let this belief that ___________ go, I deeply and completely love and accept myself."
-
As you are repeating this statemetn 3 times aloud, tap either above and below your lips or do the bi-lateral heart tapping.
-
To be clear: you will repeat the negative or reversed sub-belief paired with a positive affirmation. Here is a standard clearing phrase: "“Even though I don’t want to let go of this belief that I am unloved, I love myself deeply and completely." Repeat 3 times.
-
Take a deep, waterfall breath, then say the positive sub-belief again ex: “I want to let go of this belief that I am unloved.” Feel how it feels now/muscle test to confirm or move on to the next belief.
-
If strong, then move on to the next sub-belief. If not, then repeat the process. It will be almost always be strong after 2 repetitions of the process.
-
After you have completed tapping through all the negative aspects of the belief you are reversing, check in with yourself to see how the belief feels to you now.
-
What’s different?
-
How true does it seem to you now?
-
Is there anything still there? What is it?
-
Do some EFT on that, then check again.
-

-
Examples of Alternative Affirmative Beliefs:
-
-
"I want to love myself and I'm safer than I feel."
-
"I release this belief/pattern from all levels of my being and genetic code, from all levels of my present reality, all dimensions, timelines, and from what's writing in the Akashic Records."
-
"I'm going to love and forgive myself now, no matter what!"
-
"God loves me and wants me to shine!"
-
"I am going to love myself and feel better now (I will often add the word “anyway” or the phrase, “no matter what., here)
-
Once you finish the process:

-
Check in with yourself now about the belief. You will notice that it’s either completely reversed, as in “that doesn’t fit for me at all now!” or its intensity is diminished.
-
-
Further Cleansing from the energy of the belief: It’s good to follow this up with the imaginal work of piling up all the charge (emotional, physical sensation, images, etc.) from all the experiences that belief is associated with.
-
You can do this by letting yourself “walk” through your life trajectory starting with the first time you remember feeling that way/believing that. Your conscious and subconscious will supply you with the memories associated, so it’s not necessary to try to think of all the times when you might have felt that way. One option is to ask that all all the experiences that aren’t coming into conscious awareness but are associated, also be cleansed, freed.
-
When you reach the present moment, send the pile away completely and permanently. Check in again and see what’s still there. It can be very helpful to repeat the process of piling up the charge from past experiences (or tap on them) every day until you feel freed.
-
These additional steps will amplify the effect that clearing the belief has. By “cleansing” the trajectory of our experiences from the reversed energy that is still attached, we free ourselves more deeply, lastingly and transformationally.
-
Find the opposite belief, for example: “I am a capable and competent person.” How true does this seem to you now? If there are still some “yea-buts” attached to the positive form of the belief, then identify what remains and tap again on them.

-
Install Affirming Belief: At some point in this process, when you are ready, ask yourself what you would rather believe than what you have been believing? What belief is strengthening, loving, encouraging and inspiring? Choose that one! Make sure the language is positive; filled with words that activate positive energy; and as expansive as feels comfortable for you. To continue with our example, positive beliefs that could be, “I am deeply and profoundly loved by God, the universe, and all life. “Or “I am so much more loved than I have ever been able to feel. “As you can tell the first one is much more expensive, but for some people, the second one will be more comfortable and yet is still very positive.
-
A round tapping, repeating this phrase at every point is a great way to install the positive belief. You then can even imagine what your life would hve been like, how you would have felt this way throughout it. This further helps to remap the inner pathways. Now...imagine your life going forward based on this life enhancing belief.

Additional Sub-beliefs to check for: if the belief doesn't reverse sufficiently:
I can let go of this belief even though . . . ____ has never changed.
I can let go of this belief even though . . . I’ve believed it my whole life.
I can let go of this belief even though I . . .
There could be hundreds of different sub-beliefs. These are basic ones that I learned when I initially learned this process from David Gruder, PhD. They serve very well in most all circumstances, in my experience.
Additional Self-sabotaging beliefs:
II’ll die if I let this go.
Something terrible will happen to me/my family, if I let this go.
My world will end if I let this go.
II’ll get sick if I let this go.
This belief protects me from danger.
This belief protects me from doing something stupid.
II’ll be unsafe if I lose weight.
II’ll lose myself is I let this go.
II'll be deprived/punished if I let this go.
Also, they will give you an idea of where to look if the negative belief doesn’t feel as though it’s completely reversing. There is more to say about all of this, but this basic introduction will take you relatively far.
Choosing the Belief to Work on:
You likely will have quite a number of negative beliefs that arise to the surface of your awareness as soon as you open yourself to them, especially if you have not done this work before. Choose one that seems deeper, more pervasive, one that robs you of more of your vital life force energy. Start there, or look through this very partial list to help you begin.
Powerful and somewhat common Sabotaging Beliefs include:
II’m not [good] enough (insert: smart, pretty, thin, quick, creative, loving, etc…any word that represents a way you feel iinadequate).
II’m unlovable.
II’m stupid.
II’m incompetent.
II hate myself.
II wish I were dead.
II don’t belong.
II am being abandoned/rejected.
II’m not safe (there are hundreds of versions of ways we don’t feel safe).
II’m a failure.
II’m not lovable.
II’m not loving.
II’m bad/wrong/sick.
II can never forgive myself.
II don’t deserve to feel better.
IGod hates me.
II’ll never learn.
II can’t change.
This [cancer] will kill me.
The earth is beyond saving.
[The government] is fascist.
[The government] is communist.
This is only a very small list, if you are looking at addictive patterns, you can think of beliefs that are associated with the substances, behaviors to which you are addicted; if anxious, what are the beliefs that come up around this? Ask the same for depression, for insecurity, self-doubt, etc.
Reversing beliefs in this way largely permanently reverses them. This frees up the energy associated with them to support your well-being. This means you will have more energy to direct towards living your life in positive ways! Issues that you are working to clear from the past that are associated with these beliefs can now be cleared more easily…with less resistance from inside.
