About the Event
Stress has come to play a leading role in many of our lives these days and given all the directions we tend to be pulled in, it can be really hard to find the time to destress. Maybe even more difficult is even knowing what we can do to let go of our stress. If any this sounds familiar to you, then this retreat has something for you! Our goal is for you to leave that afternoon with some additional tools in your toolbox for managing your stress. We hope you walk away feeling recharged and empowered! You do not need to have prior experience with yoga to come! This one day retreat will include the following:
Intention setting and reflection
Developing an understanding of the effects of stress on the body through the Polyvagal Theory of Stress
Yoga session with a focus on poses that specifically help with stress management including:
Fire Log pose
Tapping session where Dr. Holly Timberlake, my mom and renowned energy psychologist, will lead participants through the use of tapping, literally tapping on meridian points, to reverse the effects of stress on the body.
Restorative Yin Yoga
Guided meditations and journaling
Journal and pen
a firm pillow or bolster
any and all props you use at home however if you don’t have any props at home, please don’t feel like you need to buy them. We’ll have some extras on hand.

Please note that your purchase is non-refundable but it is transferable, in the off chance you are unable to attend but would like to send a friend in your place.
Participants who have injuries or illnesses are advised to speak with a medical professional before practicing yoga.
All participants will be asked to sign a liability waiver at the time of the retreat.
